Andrew Reeve

Consultant, Implemented Consulting

Andrew is Head of Implemented Consulting Services and a member of the Australian Equities Research Team.  
Prior to joining JANA in October 2004, Andrew worked at National Custodian Services, in the master custody accounting and tax reporting team.  He also spent a year with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in London, working in their client services area and transition management team.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australia and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Angela Lovett

Personal Assistant

Angela is Personal Assistant for several Melbourne based Consultants, with reception & office support responsibilities for the Melbourne office.

Prior to commencing at JANA in 2010, Angela worked in administration roles, including a period of time at The Guinness Peat Group in London’s Pall Mall.  Before settling in Australia, Angela studied in London and holds a National Diploma in Applied Science.

Ann Nguyen

Investment Analyst, Implemented Consulting

Ann is an Investment Analyst in the Implemented Consulting team, and member of the Property research team.

Prior to joining JANA in 2009, Ann worked at National Private Bank Financial Planning where she was part of the team responsible for providing advice to high net worth clients.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) from The University of Melbourne and also holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. She is currently undertaking the Masters of Applied Finance program through Macquarie University.

Ashleigh Crittle

Special Counsel

Ashleigh is Special Counsel. Her brief includes assisting with the internal management of the firm, focussing on finance, operational risk and HR. In addition, Ashleigh provides technical input on issues of governance and regulation.

Prior to joining JANA in 2006, Ashleigh acted as JANA’s legal counsel for over 3 years in her capacity as Senior Legal Counsel within the MLC group. Before joining MLC, Ashleigh worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong focusing on the establishment and regulation of mutual funds and other investment structures for clients in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Ashleigh started her career at Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Sydney.

Ashleigh qualified with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws (Hons 1), from Macquarie University. She has also completed a number of subjects with the Financial Services Institute of Australia.

Anthony Ballard

Consultant, Implemented Consulting

Anthony is an Consultant in the Implemented Consulting team, and member of the Australasian Equities research team.

Anthony joined the Melbourne office in a graduate position as an Investment Analyst in 2007 following casual employment at JANA during his studies.

Anthony holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) degree from Monash University.

Bayu Sarwono

Investment Analyst

Bayu is an Investment Analyst, and a member of the Global Equities and Fixed Interest and Cash research teams.
Prior to joining JANA in 2009, he was in the MLC Graduate Program, which included a number of roles in Insurance, MLC Implemented Consulting and ThreeSixty Research. Bayu has also taught Management Accounting at Monash University and completed an internship with KPMG in Jakarta.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) with Honours from Monash University and is currently a Level 1 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.

Cassandra Frost

Consultant

Cassandra is a member of the Property and Global Equities Research Teams. She joined JANA in 2003 in a graduate position as an Investment Analyst.

During her studies, Cassandra held a casual employment position at JANA. Her responsibilities during this time included portfolio input and report writing.

Cassandra studied at the University of Melbourne from 1998 to 2002, graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance.

Claire Simpson

Consultant

Claire is a Consultant in the Direct Investments Unit and a member of the Infrastructure and Private Equity research teams.

Prior to joining JANA in 2010, Claire spent four years at Access Capital Advisers in the New York and Melbourne offices, specialising in direct infrastructure investments and asset management.  Claire has also gained experience in structured finance at Commonwealth Bank looking at cross-border tax opportunities and as a Senior Tax Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in corporate tax and financial services.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA).

Clinton Shelley

Client Service Analyst

Clinton joined JANA in 2010 as a member of  the Client Services Group.

Clinton holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University, with majors in Sociology and International Relations.

Danielle Bose

Consultant

Danielle is a consultant and member of the Global Equities and Portfolio Construction research teams.

Prior to joining JANA in 2008, Danielle was a Strategy Analyst at MLC for two years.  Danielle also completed the two-year MLC Graduate Program with rotations in Finance and ThreeSixty Research. As part of her tertiary Co-operative Program, Danielle undertook internships with MLC and Ernst & Young.

Danielle holds a Bachelor of Accounting (majoring in Finance and Accounting) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Danielle is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

David Franks

Consultant

David is a Consultant and member of the Portfolio Construction and Fixed Interest and Cash research teams.

Prior to joining JANA in 2001, David spent 13 years with ANZ Funds Management. This included 10 years as head of fixed income, and two years joint chief investment officer and chairman of the asset allocation committee. Previously he was at Schroders Australia in fixed income distribution.

David migrated to Australia in 1985 from Johannesburg, South Africa, where he gained extensive financial markets and stockbroking experience. David also worked at Johannesburg Consolidated Investment (JCI), a mining house in the Anglo-American group. David’s career started in 1969 at Sun Life of Canada in Johannesburg and Montreal, starting as a trainee investment analyst.

David has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Rhodes University, South Africa.
