Who is JANA?
Company profile
JANA is an Australian company, established in 1987 and now one of the leading investment consultants in Australia. From our offices in Melbourne and Sydney, we provide investment advice and related services to a wide variety of clients.
In 2000, JANA was acquired by the National Australia Bank, providing JANA with access to greater infrastructure and economies of scale.
JANA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Australia Bank Group of companies.
As at 31 December 2009, we advised 77 institutional clients with total assets of $152.5 billion. Those clients include corporate, industry and public sector superannuation funds as well as charities, foundations and other endowment funds.
JANA's implemented consulting service caters for superannuation funds and other institutional investors that wish to outsource their investments but continue to receive JANA's tailored advice and client services. An extension of this is full outsourcing, where the fund’s trusteeship duties, administration and member services are also outsourced.
In providing these outsourced services we leverage off the strength of the NAB group and the experience and resources of MLC and Plum, both of which are also subsidiaries of NAB.
As at 31 December 2009 we managed assets of $9.9 billion for our 37 implemented clients through our range of diversified and single asset class investment products.
